The three main work centres of AITEMIN have a local network infrastructure based on structured category 5 and 6 wiring and switches. Each of the centres has its own file and printer server performing the role of domain controller, incorporating fault tolerant storage (RAID) and a tape and/or hard-disk backup system, as well as a communications server.

The central offices of AITEMIN at Leganés boast a permanent connection to the Internet with a symmetric speed of 4 Mb/s. The other work centres are connected to the Internet through ADSL lines. The three networks are permanently interconnected by means of VPN tunnels established automatically by the communications servers through the Internet.

The mail server (correo.aitemin.es) and the web server (www.aitemin.es) are physically located at the central offices in Leganés. The Intranet of AITEMIN, which includes the Internal Management System and Laboratory Management, is also hosted at the main server in Leganés.
