This laboratory is focused to the study, development and testing of technical solutions for informatics, of communication systems, and image processing and computer visions systems.

The laboratory is equipped with computers with different operating systems, and also with communication equipments (hubs, switches, modems, routers, cards, etc.) to carry out interconnection and communication tests.

There are also available systems to acquire and to process images, and several auxiliary elements (cameras, lenses, a computer controlled microscope, optical fiber lighting systems, stroboscope lights, fluorescents, laser, camera stands, monitors, etc.) which can be used in the study for the viability of computer vision inspection, control, and analysis systems for every type of industrial uses.
