DESCRIPTION
The conducting of hydraulic tests and the taking of water samples in bore-holes are common tools in hydrogeological investigation. For some years now, the traditional pumping tests have been supplemented with other more specific ones, fundamentally aimed at the characterisation of media of moderate to low permeability, for which it is essential to have equipment that is likewise specific.
AITEMIN has a Mobile Hydrogeology Unit, of its own design, for carrying out highly specialised works in bore-holes located in zones that are difficult of access. Conceived with the aim of minimising the time needed for conducting tests in bore-holes, the vehicle permits the hydraulic testing and taking of water samples between plugs in bore-holes with an inclination of up to 45º and a depth of up to 500 m, the conducting of basic physical and chemical analyses of water samples and the installation of special devices, temporary or permanent, for the piezometric and hydrochemical control of aquifers.
The hydrogeology area also has complete field equipment for the in situ obtaining of the main hydrogeological parameters of interest.
