Descripción:  The Barrier Emplacement (BE) project started in the year 2000 at the underground laboratory of Mont Terri (Switzerland). The objective of the project is to demonstrate a new concept in the field of engineered barriers for the underground storage of radioactive wastes using compactec bentonite blocks and a granular material made from bentonite pellets.

Descripción:  To observe and analyse the desaturation-resaturation processes in clayish rock formations caused by gallery ventilation and their impact on its mechanical, hydraulic and thermal properties.
